Nelson was inspired by a set of silk-covered Swedish hanging lamps that he wanted to acquire for his office, but he found the price to be prohibitive. An ingenious and resourceful designer, he went on to create the first set of Bubble Lamps using a translucent white plastic spray. Nelson drew from elemental, organic shapes in making variations including sconces, table lamps and floor lamps.

Pendants include a brushed, nickel-plated steel ceiling plate measuring 5.25" and a 6-foot cord. Product is UL-listed and rated for bulbs up to 150 watts. Bulb is not included.

The Metal Side Tables, designed by brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, belong to the category of furnishings that do not stand at the centre of attention, yet are indispensable for the completion of an interior. As small and rather inconspicuous side tables, they serve a variety of valuable purposes. The thin table tops and the voluminous forms of the plinth-like bases create an appealing contrast.

These indoor/outdoor side tables are designed with textured powder-coated steel and include polyamide glides. Special additives will slow down the fading process caused by ultraviolet rays. However, leaving the product exposed to the sun for an extended period of time can result in color changes. An indoor-only version of the collection is also available.

Mepra flatware is dishwasher safe, however, special care should be given to knives for the first 10-15 washes to maximize the life of your flatware. Knives are made in 18/0 gauge steel rather than 18/10 gauge stainless steel, as the metal needs to have a higher carbon content to keep its sharpness over time, resulting in a hardened steel. Although this increases the sharpness of the knives, it also leaves the knives more vulnerable to rust if not properly maintained. To care for your knives, do not leave knives to soak in water for an extended period of time, as this can leave the knives vulnerable to rust. Mepra recommends drying the knives with a soft cloth after the dishwasher cycle for the first 10-15 washes.
