Masanobu Ando crafts an elegant mix of form and material in this floral inspired ceramic dish. The delicate flower-shaped bowl is balanced by a silver overglazed exterior. These number spoons are a new series in Okinawa based metal artisan Mitsuhiro Konishi's spectacular collection. They are made entirely by hand with sculptural qualities including the use of mixed metals, a hand-hammered surface and hand-punched perforations in the form of numbers.  We love the irregularities in the hand hammered aged steel heads in contrast to the smooth brass handles. Holding each spoon in your hand truly allows you to enjoy the sculpted nature of the forms. Sip, serve or simply decorate with these artful pieces.

This soap dish is perfect for facial cleansing soap such as the Binchotan Facial Soap. It can really be used for regular hand soap but the idea is to use a Face Cleansing brush to lather up the soap and build a foam before applying it to the face. Little dot shaped ridges are on the interior base of the dish help keep the soap in place. There is a nice matte quality to the finish due to the unglazed bone china surface. If you want to take this piece an extra mile, you can pair it with the Suve Tray.

These trays are so beautiful in person! In Western culture lacquerware isn't as prevalent as in Japan where lacquereware is well-admired for the skill required to make such items. These wooden Makiji trays are particularly special because they are finished with a very durable lacquer that incorporates diatomaceous earth into it's base layer and top coat. These features make the tray extremely strong and scratch resistant. More than anything, we are in love with the deep red tone. Everything looks good displayed on a Makiji tray!

There are objects that you may not think of right off the bat that can make daily life infinitely better. The stainless steel toilet paper tray by Yamasaki is one of those things. The convenient stainless steel trays can be placed near the toilet bowl to refill empty toilet paper rolls at a glance, instead of having to uncomfortably locate a roll under the cabinets. It also helps to prevent you from ever having a moment where you realized you ran out of toilet paper, or having your guests experience being in that awkward position for themselves!

Tea lights are the perfect-fit for these striking two-part candle holders. With a removable upper portion, the candle can rest and drip wax on the porcelain without damaging the wood base.
“Kime” means texture or wood grain in Japanese and each Kime product features the unique qualities of the wood it is made from. The sleek shapes and smooth texture highlight the outstanding skill of the craftsmen who make each piece in Asahikawa, Japan.

I am a Jicon dinner plate. I’m so glad I’m up for grabs again! When I was at your grandmother’s, I was stuck behind a glass display case. I mean, I know I’m extremely good looking, but life is just better lived carrying gourmet pasta’s and juicy steaks on my surface.

Meals can taste significantly better when served on the right dinnerware. Often, white surfaces can be the perfect backdrop to highlight a delicious meal. We love the Jicon porcelain dinnerware pieces for this exact reason. Beautifully crafted, distinct yet subtle, but most importantly, never distracting. We're also crazy about the antique rim.

A cleaner alternative to air fresheners, this natural bamboo charcoal incense is made without harmful chemicals. The various scents have complex aroma profiles, which include sandalwood, bamboo, cherry blossom, rose or plum tree. The jet black charcoal incense glows beautifully around the edges leaving behind an ultra fine ash.

This solid cast iron trivet has a rich, saturated surface texture. The rust color and traditional Japanese infinity motif gives it the feel of an antique object. The symbol is usually seen in Japan in the form of decorative cord that is made from twisted paper. The form implies “peaceful unity” or harmony in the home, which is reflective of Simplicity’s approach to design and a befitting choice for their official brand logo.

Kamenoko Tawashi brushes are cleaning brushes that have become almost customary in most Japanese households. Invented in 1907 by Mr. Seizaemon Nishio with palm fibers, these unusual scrubs are as effective as they are compelling. When we discovered them there was no turning back to the regular supermarket brushes. Whether it be dishes or shower tiles, these are great for anything that needs a good scrub.
