The VL38 Wall Lamp is born of functionalism. The light head is organically shaped, painted white and obliquely angled. The light arm, which is made of brass, features a small hinge on top to allow minute adjustment of the light head. The luminaire provides accurate downward light, making it ideal for use as a work light or as more general illumination.

Originally a table lamp, the VL38 Wall Lamp was created for Radiohuset in Copenhagen and designed by Wilhelm Lauritzen. Lauritzen was one of the most prominent architects of the modernist and functionalist movements.

Although introduced in 1958, this distinctive home office desk by George Nelson seems to have been designed to fit today's compact electronics perfectly. It's sized perfectly for a laptop, MP3 dock, and iPad. It makes efficient use of space and fits easily into your home office, kitchen, family room, or main living area.

The addition of a handy grommet at the back of the desk allows for efficient cable management. Colorful cubbyholes at the back keep materials organized and at hand, and one fits a laptop computer. Two molded plastic drawers store small items.

Dandy Sofa

In 1966 the Platner Collection captured the "decorative, gentle, graceful" shapes that were beginning to infiltrate the modern vocabulary. The pieces are created by welding hundreds of curved, nickel-plated steel rods to circular frames, simultaneously serving as structure and ornament. The ottoman can be used with the companion Easy Chair or on its own to add mid-century elegance to any space.
Shell is molded fiberglass with molded latex foam cushion. Base constructed of nickel-plated vertical steel rods welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods. Consistent with all of her designs, Florence Knoll's Bench has a spare, geometric profile that reflects the rational design approach Florence learned from her mentor, Mies van der Rohe. Every element of a Knoll-planned space supported the overall design and complemented the existing architecture.

The Utzon Pendant is a graceful ode to designer Jørn Utzon's father's naval engineering drawings. The drawings led to a lifelong fascination with ships and boats, along with light. More than a decade before Jørn Utzon created his masterpiece, the Sydney Opera House, he put his childhood fascination into this pendant, successfully combining the smoothness of the lines of a ship with the source of light for the first time.

The PK11™ is a complex and beautiful chair carried by a three-legged satin brushed stainless steel frame. The chair was designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1957 as a companion to the PK51™ worktable. Working best as an office chair or an exquisite dining chair, the PK11™ is truly a design feat. Poul Kjærholm struck the perfect balance of curves and hard angles, making the PK11 an instant classic.

Poul Kjærholm was a trained carpenter and continued his studies at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts. He had a particular interest in different construction materials; especially steel which he considered a natural material with the same artistic fineness as other natural materials. Poul Kjærholm was employed at Fritz Hansen for about a year, where he designed a number of noteworthy chair prototypes.

The PK11™ chair features an armrest and backrest made of lacquered ash and seat upholstery available in a limited selection of fine leather. The chair is made by had in Denmark.

The Type 80™ Desk Lamp by Anglepoise is a striking and functional table lamp. The graphic profile is accented by a halo light escape in the shade, highlighting the iconic conical shape. Every detail has been carefully considered and precision engineered to deliver streamlined style and ease of use, including sprung joint mechanisms and cables that are discreetly routed through the arms.
