This notebook uses specially-made paper from LIFE CO.,LTD., which has brought back the original role of paper for writing, touching, and viewing. If one holds the paper in this product up to the light, a pattern resembling a bamboo screen appears, but yet each page uses only the best raw materials, is smooth to the touch, and offers the finest writing experience with little ink and bleeding. The non-intrusive 3mm-thick graph lines are colored a whitish green, the brand color of Craft Design Technology, and are rather easy on the eyes. The use of blackish green, a traditional color of Japan, for the spine creates a contrast against the gentle appearance of the pages. The perforated lines below the binding allow for easy removal of each written page. The techniques of craftsmen appear in every aspect of this product, from the manufacturing of its paper, to its binding and finishing work. It is half the size of standard A4 paper making it easy to carry, but also large enough to offer a comfortable writing space.

Wendy Legro and Maarten Collignon are the founders of Studio WM - a design studio based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Guided by all senses, their mission is to create seemingly simple designs that reflect the love that is put into them - and their details - for years to come. Their Wire design is available as a Dining chair and a low Lounge Chair. They both have the same light and airy appearance and the thin structure of the wire frame gives them a delicate feel, while also providing a fine contrast to any cushion you put on the dining chair - or the blankets, pillows and soft items you lay in the lounge version. My chair series he said / she said was the first product of the Mattiazzi collection. By now, the works by Sam Hecht, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, and Konstantin Grcic have entered and formed an exciting discourse and dialogue. Solo continues this discourse but from a slightly different point of view, a more reduced one. When Solo was developed, the aim was to incorporate as much advantages as possible coming from the Mattiazzi production process and combining it into a cost efficient, versatile unique chair. We can happily say now that this aim was successfully reached and Solo is cost efficient like no other series in the Mattiazzi collection. Yet, it still upholds the quality level of handicraft and the love of details its predecessors so successfully marked. This robust yet simple and refined furniture family was sought to be used in cafés and restaurants, which is why it offers great flexibility – both in use and in the variations offered. However, though simplicity was the outspoken key feature we were almost forced into, it was very important to find the right nuance and tune the right detail as means of accurately forming the right character for each piece.

The MARCH wall bench is a wooden bench that has to lean on a wall to be able to function. This new typology originates from a certain misuse of a ladder: people using one of its steps as a seat. The perception of the MARCH wall bench as a kind of wrong wooden ladder enriches the object by giving it a multi-context; it becomes an extension of the wall, it creates a domesticated area around and a fictive memory, based on the unconscious recognition of the nostalgic and iconic image of the wooden ladder.
