Anchal's co-founders met at the Rhode Island School of Design during a graduate seminar  that explored design in the developing world. Inspired by the shared belief that design can be a catalyst for social and environmental innovation, the four women traveled to India and met with local leader, Urmi Basu of the New Light Foundation. It was here in the narrow alleyways of the Kalighat red light district, Urmi shared the extreme oppression women faced and the tangible void in economic alternatives available to this marginalized community. Since their beginnings in 1932, in Tokyo, the artisans of Sugahara have applied traditional Japanese design techniques to reveal and express the beauty of glass in ways never before seen, in handcrafted glassware for the tabletop and other uses.
“Glass is alive.” “Communicate with glass.” These expressions may sound funny to you but this is how Sugahara artisans talk about glass. They communicate with glass by observing it and hearing its “voice” every day. As the artisans capture and shape the glass at its key moment – when it is extremely hot liquid – flowing liquid-like forms are created in keeping with the unique consistencies and intensity of the material, and the infinite characteristics of glass are explored and revealed to maximum effect in the end product.
Sugahara's goal is glassware that pleases you when you hold it, and that livens up and brings warmth to your table when you entertain your friends and loved ones.

Lauren's All Purpose Salve (LAP) started as a way for Lauren to heal her burned hands and forearms from working as a line cook in the kitchens of NYC in 2014. She wanted a simple salve with organic ingredients. There were no organic burn creams to be found, so she decided to make my own.
Lauren noticed that there were a few core ingredients in every product marketed for organic skincare. Taking these, and adding in a few ingredients she learned about while apprenticing as an herbalist, Lauren created a balm that could be used for everything: Lauren's All Purpose Salve. Lauren's friends started asking her what she was rubbing all over herself 24/7 and eventually started buying it from her in 2016 while she was in grad school at Columbia University for Nutrition.

Shinhyeon Woodcraft is a family-run business owned by Park Jaesin and his son Hyeon. Jaesin has over 40 years of experience in woodcraft and is well known for their Dasikpans, tradition Korean dessert boards with carved designs. These days he and Hyeon focus on crafting cutting boards and other kitchen utensils. In creating their work, the Parks have always adhered to traditional Korean woodcraft techniques.
Traditional Korean woodcraft, exemplified in the works of the Parks, is grounded on selecting the best kinds of wood, naturally drying them for an extended period, and crafting them in a way that respects the texture and grain of the wood. Jaesin and Hyeon adhere strictly to this tradition. Wood is extracted from unsplit logs selected by Jaesin himself, from aromatic trees, such as ceder and cypress. The wood is then dried for a year or so in a natural environment, before it is worked on using only hand tools.

Tiny Bones Press is a design and letterpress studio that specializes in fine stationery featuring hand printed paper goods and book projects founded by Megan (she/her).
Megan spent her childhood in NJ, college in California, the last fifteen years working in the art and photo industry of NYC and now is on the Eastern end of NY, forever balancing east coast and west coast design sensibilities.
Her ethos is rooted in connection and relationships - about small details having the capacity to ignite and inspire bigger things.
Why the name “Tiny Bones”?
Bones because of a deeply vested interest in anthropology and through that interest, learning that the tiniest bones in the body are in the inner ear - what an amazing thing it is to be able to listen.

PROCESS
Each piece is conceptualized, illustrated and designed in house. All pieces are hand-fed letterpress or foil (one by one) on vintage presses. This slow process allows for every piece of printed material to be produced by hand - quality is at the forefront.
SUSTAINABILITY
Tiny Bones Press proudly commits themselves to using fully recyclable materials and packaging. Their recent packaging rebrand has allowed them to remove plastic from all facets of their product (yes, even the stickers and their adhesive are fully recyclable or compostable). Our planet is a priority and Tiny Bones Press believes that we go above and beyond to ensure that we are doing our part with the materials we put out into the world.
The papers they work with are made from recycled (often discarded) materials, fully recyclable on their own and their entire letterpress process is sustainable. There are no motors on any of their presses, everything is manual (including the inking).

A story from Liz, Wild Lather's Owner & Maker:
That last day. We were standing on what felt like the edge of the world, cliffside at Muriwai Beach, New Zealand. Our rental car doors were open, music was playing, and we looked down at the black sand beach, trying to wrap our minds around the journey that was ending. That was our last destination after living out of suitcases for the past eight months - just the two of us - planning as we went along. I had no idea what to expect when we boarded the flight back to New England the next day. We had both quit our jobs and left the lease on our Boston studio. We were kind of broke, kind of had no place to live, and kind of terrified that we would never feel that happy again.
During that flight I thought about the people and places we met. The makers, bathers, and surfers along the way. I also thought about the beautiful landscapes I could barely comprehend, and in contrast, a glacier in New Zealand that had retreated so far back you could now stand on the stone it once covered. I thought about how everything I needed could fit into a single suitcase when utilizing simple, multi-use products. That realization made me feel more connected to myself and the environment. Lastly, I thought about my soap making hobby. How relevant this time-honored method of bathing with plants suddenly felt. Somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, everything changed.
That summer I obsessively researched, sourced, and tested the ingredients for a bar soap that would gently cleanse and deeply nourish. A bar made from organic plants and free of palm oil and synthetic substances. As I poured myself into it, scent nostalgia crept in and memories from our adventure began to form essential oil blends. By December 2018, we launched Wild Lather. And that bar turned out to be a triangle.
For every batch, we take our nourishing blend of five organic plant oils: Coconut, Olive, Shea Butter, Camellia, and Castor, saponify them, then combine them with naturally occurring clays and solar-infused botanicals. We then swirl in a house-blend of steam-distilled essential oils and allow them to air-cure for one month. A time-honored process that's so worth the wait. Made for full body bathing, shaving, face cleansing, and sustainable travel.

Meredith Noles is a multidisciplinary creator primarily traversing the fields of fashion and textile design. While working in a custom boot and saddle shop in Texas, she developed a love for handcrafted quality. This experience led Noles to Florence, Italy, to apprentice under local textile designers where she created hand-painted fabrics for Italian fashion houses while continuing her studies in Studio Art . Later she obtained her secondary degree in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design . Noles currently works as a knitwear designer for fashion brands in New York City and continues to create weavings that celebrate natural fibers and artisanal methods. Her designs are firmly rooted in the interplay between the structural and organic as well as modernity and nostalgia.

This soap is made and shaved by hand, so each bar may have slight imperfections and inconsistencies. Each bar is safe for your hands and body. For best use and longevity, use a soap dish with water drainage. Lather and enjoy!
The first time Anna Mae read "The Natural Soap Book" by Susan Miller Cavitch, she was sitting in bed with her head packed with gauze. Earlier that day, she had her wisdom teeth removed and during her recovery she knew she needed some reading material. The book walked her through all the complex layers of making cold-process soap and as she read the last page she thought, "challenge accepted."
She began researching, watching YouTube, and read a few more books. She went all in as she tends to do when something sparks her attention and tugs at her creative strings. After six months of saving, planning and prepping she made her first batch right in her kitchen. The worst part was waiting 4 weeks for her bars to cure but once she pulled them out of their molds and held them in her hands, she fell in love.
While soap making has been the most challenging process for Anna, it's been the most beautiful and rewarding. She's learned how to change the color of her bars using natural clays, how to make more or less bubbles for optimal lather, and integrate different essential oils to promote energy or rest. Through soap making she has experienced the impact of creating a dynamic masterpiece that is actually functional for every day life. She cares deeply about these bars and makes each with intention and heart in her small batch studio in Portland, OR.
Anna also thoughtfully sources each of her ingredients in her commitment to make a bar that is thoroughly sustainable and safe for everyday cleansing. Her integration of exfoliation featured on the underside of our soap allows for versatility and compliments the diverse needs embedded within our skin.

Three girl friends met while in the fashion industry and bonded instantly over their l ove of good food, vintage-hunting, natural textiles, and the road less traveled. Tired of the of the fleeting trendiness of the fast-fashion industry, as well as the inflated premiums of the high fashion industry, the three girls dreamed of a better middle where fashion was beautiful, had character and was made to last in both quality and aesthetic.
The dream turned into action when one night the three girls started talking about how they could never find the right socks to go with their shoes, they wished there was a better designed sock to look good and feel good with all the shoes... And just like that, over a bottle of wine Le Bon Shoppe was born, with an attention towards beautiful textiles, subtle designs and prismatic colors and an intention to always provide the best quality at an affordable price.

Stellar Factory is a small product and game design studio, based in Boulder, CO. Founded in 2014, Stellar Factory’s mission is to use well-designed goods and experiences to bring people together, encouraging playfulness and joy.
Stellar Factory’s initial project was the creation of one of the first escape rooms in the United States, Enigma Escape Rooms. Stellar Factory’s experience in interior design, game design, and graphic design were utilized to construct an experience that would be enjoyed by tens of thousands of visitors, from all over the country and world. In 2015, Enigma Escape Rooms expanded to a 2nd location, and now employs over 15 people in Colorado.
But the fun didn’t stop there! In late 2015, Stellar Factory launched its first Kickstarter campaign. Through collaboration with Henry Smith, Stellar Factory created a tabletop version of the popular multiplayer mobile game, Spaceteam. The game was a success, raising over $200K. This success would encourage Stellar Factory to launch another arm of the studio, focusing on creating functional and enjoyable goods and games designed to bring people together.

Monroe Workshop is a Los Angeles-based studio committed to promoting imaginative play through simple yet innovative toys. Minimalism, design, and fun are key components of any Monroe Workshop toy. Founder Matt Monroe is an experienced sculptor and carpenter and has been building things for as long as he can remember. Matt got his BA at Colorado College and his Masters in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art and has been designing and building custom furniture since he launched Monroe Workshop in 2008. A few years later he started making toys out of wood scraps as gifts for friends and for his own two daughters. Slowly the toys grew into a business of their own and Monroe Workshop Toys was born.

It has now grown into a full collection of children's apparel and accessories made with the finest GOTS certified organic cotton while working with non-profits and fair-trade artisans in India that give trafficked and abused women a fair-wage and dignified employment.
