Bertoia once said of his famous wire chairs, "If you look at these chairs, they are mainly made of air, like sculpture. Space passes right through them." The wire chair truly is a masterpiece. Harry Bertoia and his designs have made him one of Udine's great legends.
Born in Udine, Italy in 1915, Harry Bertoia started drawing at the age of 13. Just two years later Harry Bertoia emigrated to Canada and then the United States in 1930. During his diverse design career, Harry Bertoia's designs spanned from sculptures to jewelry to furniture. During the 1940s, Harry Bertoia worked closely with Charles Eames on a number of ergonomic projects in order to create more practical forms of modern classic furniture.

Designed by Roberto Paoli, the new Pippi collection by Midj includes chairs, armchairs, and lounge chairs with armrests and two stools available in counter or bar heights. Two curved metal tubes make up the structure of the Pippi collection. The structure is upholstered with a single coating of slightly padded bi-elastic fabric that perfectly dresses the chair.

Jules Leleu was born in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. At age 26 succeeded his father in the family painting business. With his brother, he began work in the decorating field. Not until Jules Leleu was in his mid-30s did he start to specialize in furniture design. By 1925 Leleu had his own gallery in Paris, and that same year he exhibited at the Exposition Industrielle et Arts Decoratifs. Among his more famous architectural works are several different French embassies, and the Grand Salon of the Ambassadors at the Society of Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Similar to other Art Deco Designers of this period, Jules Leleu designed many different furnishings for lavish steamships. Jules Leleu died in 1961.
Leleu developed an elegant and refined language in his work that distinguished him from his contemporaries. The Jules Leleu Armchair is the new edition of one of the most suggestive and original works by Leleu, who liked it to the point of using it several times in Marcel L'Herbier's film "La Parum del la Dame en Noir" in 1931 and in the "Trouville" apartment on the liner "Normandie" in 1935.

Eduard Buquet designed this style of floor lamp in 1930.  The popular Buquet Lamp went on to be made available in several different sizes meeting the functional needs of a demanding public.  It was used by both Marcel Breuer and Le Corbusier in various interior designs.  The Buquet lamp is still popular today with professionals and homeowners.

In his voyage of discovery undertaken within strict social constraints of the late 1950s, he sought the contrast between soft and rigid structures. The F585 shape is from a series of four contemporary chairs and footstools with generally the same shape, but varying sizes in width and height. Each has a comfortable shell seat. The F585 can be considered a modern classic furniture design as it introduced a new business-like character that penetrated into the homes of people with a taste for the high-design pieces they'd seen in offices and public areas.
