"This t-shirt is a CELEBRATION of Women Artists. It is my response to the many iterations of this type of design that only celebrate male artists but continue to simply use the title: Artists.
I considered using this title, but including the word Women felt very significant to me. Not only because of the relevance of the work they have made and currently make but the importance of the paths that have brought them to such stature.
This shirt honors them as artists AND honors them as women.
It was nearly impossible to narrow down the women I included on this shirt. Many more versions could be made featuring an entirely new group of women artists honoring them and their art."
