An icon of mid-century modernism, originally designed for Gaudi's La Pedrera building in Barcelona.
In 1955, Barba Corsini renovated the loft space within Antonio Gaudi's famed "La Pedrera" building - transforming it from a storage facility into 13 beautifully-designed apartments. To complement the modernist architecture, Corsini custom-designed furniture for the space, including the now iconic Pedrera lamps and table. He leaned on Gaudi's architectural designs for inspiration - the base of the lamp inspired by the building's vaulted ceilings and the lamp shade referencing its chimneys.
Designer Joaquim Ruiz Millet, a protege of Corsini, later designed this lamp in collaboration with his mentor. The lamp is made from powder-coated, perforated metal and is produced in Denmark by Gubi - a Copenhagen-based purveyor of historic and contemporary designs. This is a certified authentic design, produced to the designers' original specifications.

The round pole is a perfect match for most outdoor tables with an umbrella hole, or the umbrella can be purchased with a custom-designed foot, made from concrete and stainless steel (Please note, given its pole length, the small size cannot be used from the center hole of tables if the umbrella is intended to be folded down).

The Teflon-treated fabric has been leather-reinforced to enhance its strength. The Teflon-treatment makes it water and dirt repellent; however, please note that the fabric is not 100% waterproof. A hand-loomed rug made from ombr_ yarns that are carefully woven to create an immensely saturated gradient pattern.

The Shade collection is inspired by magical moments in nature where colors melt and speak for themselves. Designer Begum Cana emphasizes: "this is a handmade flat-weave rug that generates an incredible and well-rounded diffusion of color. The surface releases a sense of tranquillity and well-being that is balanced by the penetrating vibration of colors." This collection of exquisite simplicity reflects a complex technical process to achieve the density, regularity, and fluidity of the desired effect. Two gradients converge in each rug, one vertical and one horizontal, in the same plane, harmonically using six transitional shades. An innovative LED-based lighting system, created by renowned designer Konstantin Grcic for FLOS. The foundation of the the Noctambule series is a transparent hand-blown glass cylinder, surrounded on both top and bottom by discrete LED technology. These cylinders stack to form columns of light that illuminate at the intersection between each module.

Configurable as a hanging or standing lamp, Noctambule features additional components that allow for numerous options. The cylinders are available in two heights (Low and High), and a bowl or cone-shaped head can also be added for more directional light. All fixtures are also dimmable (the floor lamp models equipped with a pedal-based dimmer switch).

The Satellite Pendant holds the distinctive trait of Rigitulle, a technique and material invented by the designer himself that makes it possible to bend and fold the fabric-like metal sheet. The interplay of light and shadow cast on walls and floors generates a dramatic feature in any room. Hang the Satellite Pendant alone as a character piece or in multiples to create a cloud of luminosity.

Blocchi Rug In Sky

An exclusive, limited-edition art print by Dutch photographer Maarten Rots.
Maarten Rots is a Dutch artist working with photography as a medium. He travels Europe with a camper van to uncover abstract images in daily surroundings, exploring the effects of light and shadow on textured, architectural objects. Rots intentionally utilizes the flattening effect of the camera to produce photos that lean toward graphic imagery. The resulting works are commonly confused for paintings or drawings, which he emphasizes further by printing on matte, textured paper. This series, curated exclusively for TRNK Editions, is from photos taken between 2018-19 throughout Germany, Spain, Slovenia, Austria and Portugal.

An intriguing, sculptural design by Italian master Achille Castiglioni. Inspired by and named after the dandelion, the Taraxacum Pendant Lamp is done in the designers' famous 'cocoon' style. A white powder coats the internal steel structure, which is then sprayed with a webby resin for a soft, diffused light. The diffuser is then protected by a transparent, sprayed-on finish. An original design produced in Italy exclusively by FLOS.
