By abstracting the viewers’ points of view through movement and different materials, he redraws the male form - thus becoming a form of gestalt. Referencing ancient Greek sculpture, the figures exude strength and masculinity - they are seemingly unbreakable. Yet over time, they become broken and worn, revealing their fragility.

MENU launches the Hashira Collection, a modern, Nordic take on the traditional Japanese rice paper lantern.
A fusion of East and West, tradition and modernity, and a perfect balance of aesthetics and proportion and simplicity and character, Hashira is a new collection of floor, table and pendant lamps for modern spaces.
Designed by Norm Architects, the collection takes its cues from visits to traditional Japanese Washi papermakers and its name from the Japanese word for column or pillar. The translucent fabric shade not only acts as a diffuser, projecting the light in multiple directions while creating a cozy, glare-free ambiance, it also adds palpable appeal that enhances the softness of an interior – acoustically as well as tactilely.

A simple, streamlined and sculptural series, constructed from untreated aluminum. Aluminium can be difficult to weld and screw. With that in mind, a riveting/tenon technique was developed for what is now called the 'Rivet Series.' The straightforward design is laser cut and hammered by hand, which puts it in a category between craftsmanship and industrial production.

The Fragment Series combines marble with resin to convey the unique beauty of otherwise discarded marble fragments.
Marble fragments are typically abandoned as industrial waste. However, the Seoul-based Fict Studio realized the beauty of these fragments, equal to marble that is artificially machined. By combining raw-edge marble fragments with a translucent resin, the Fragment Series re-examines what we consider waste, producing a remarkable result that is unexpectedly light and ethereal.
The series, which includes stool, chair, and side table, is available in two colors. Given that each piece is made-to-order using raw-edge marble fragments, please expect some variability in the design.

A hand-loomed rug made from ombr_ yarns that are carefully woven to create an immensely saturated gradient pattern.

The Shade collection is inspired by magical moments in nature where colors melt and speak for themselves. Designer Begum Cana emphasizes: "this is a handmade flat-weave rug that generates an incredible and well-rounded diffusion of color. The surface releases a sense of tranquillity and well-being that is balanced by the penetrating vibration of colors." This collection of exquisite simplicity reflects a complex technical process to achieve the density, regularity, and fluidity of the desired effect. Two gradients converge in each rug, one vertical and one horizontal, in the same plane, harmonically using six transitional shades. An icon of mid-century modernism, originally designed for Gaudi's La Pedrera building in Barcelona. In 1955, Barba Corsini renovated the loft space within Antonio Gaudi's famed "La Pedrera" building - transforming it from a storage facility into 13 beautifully-designed apartments. To complement the modernist architecture, Corsini custom-designed furniture for the space, including the now iconic Pedrera lamps and table. He leaned on Gaudi's architectural designs for inspiration - the base of the lamp inspired by the building's vaulted ceilings and the lamp shade referencing its chimneys. The lamp is made from powder-coated perforated metal - considered very avant-garde for its time. Today, the lamp is produced in Denmark by Gubi - a Copenhagen-based purveyor of historic and contemporary designs. Certified authentic and produced to the designer's original specifications.

Mobility and flexibility are also maximized by minimalist design. Christina Liljenberg Halstrom designed the Georg Console Table for Skagerak. The table is reduced to the essentials: Two feet and a tabletop come together, forming a piece of furniture which can simply be leant against the wall. Measuring just a shade under 13 inches deep, her Georg Console Table fits anywhere and can be used as an entryway table, small desk, vanity, dining nook or any other tabletop solution. Metal wall-mounting brackets included with the console. With her beautiful Georg range, Christina Liljenberg Halstrom confronts the idea of 'extra furniture' by making her pieces characteristic elements of her home interior, just as they deserve. "Clean lines, strong contrasts and a sustained Nordic idiom make the Georg series from Skagerak almost impossible not to like. Legendary French designer Pierre Paulin originally designed the Pacha Lounge Chair in 1975.

Paulin designed the chair in harmony with the changing design style of its period, replacing the austerity of post-war design with a new, vigorous approach. Paulin managed to give a real elegance to the rounded forms of the Pacha Lounge Chair by finding the perfect proportions, raising it lightly on its base and tracing in the foam and upholstery with stitching lines inclined inwards. Through pieces like the Pacha Lounge Chair, Pierre Paulin pioneered low-level living; a modern way of living and sitting on the floor, by getting rid of chair legs. With comfort as the constant starting-point in his designs, the curvaceous, whimsical and organic shapes of the Pacha Chair are conceived to serve the body, providing both comfort and coziness. Looking at contemporary today as when it first was designed, the Pacha Lounge Chair is an honest, functional piece that brings life and character to any interior setting.
