Leave No Trace is a poem and an experimental audio project. The record has two unlabeled tracks, one per side, that combine ambient environmental recordings, vocalizations, an old electric guitar and sounds generated from found materials. The poem printed on the album cover speaks to the common code of wilderness ethics known as “Leave No Trace.” It further unpacks this term, questioning what is natural or naturalized. The project considers the desire to disappear and the subjugation of those who go undocumented.

This is a book about California. Specifically, this first volume is about Northern California, the wet part of the state, the green part, a place where redwoods reign and fog is common. From 2009-2013, Jacqueline Suskin lived in Humboldt County, on the edge of the continent, writing poetry. In this collection, we come to know her as a lover of land, a steward, and an ecstatic earth worshiper. This book is a personal narrative, a selection of formative memories, but most importantly it’s a shared compendium of terrain, an atlas of verse that offers each reader a retreat, and a pathway to access this sacred landscape that provides us with so much.

Dendrophile is Justin Bond's first full-length album as a solo artist. It encapsulates the various—and constantly evolving—dimensions of Bond’s career post-Kiki and Herb.

The material comprising Dendrophile reveals the variety of Bond’s artistic passions and is greatly influenced by early `70s folk-pop variety records by artists that defied genre and could easily go from protest songs to jazz standards, from adapting a traditional folk song to singing cabaret music. Features original compositions and select covers of Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins/Joan Baez, and Exuma.

Thomas Bartlett (aka Doveman), plays piano, serves as bandleader, and produced the album with help from Pat Dillett (David Byrne, Caetano Veloso, Laurie Anderson).

Like V.'s shows, the album finds Bond surrounded by a significant cross-section of NYC talent: Sam Amidon, Rob Moose, Shahzad Ismaily, Brad Albetta, Doug Wieselman; It also features singers Beth Orton and Dawn Landes, among others.

Justin Bond has won Obie, Bessie and Ethyl Eichelberger Awards, and was a Tony Award nominee. As one-half of the performance duo Kiki and Herb, Bond toured the world, headlining Carnegie Hall twice, and performing at The Sydney Opera House and London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Actually Curious - Culture Edition

The original “The Future Is Female” T-shirt design was made for Labyris Books, the first women’s bookstore in New York City, which was opened in 1972 by Jane Lurie and Marizel Rios. The photographer Liza Cowan took a picture of musician Alix Dobkin, her girlfriend at the time, wearing the T-shirt in 1975. The photograph was done for a slide show she was working on called: " What the Well Dressed Dyke Will Wear." This slogan has lasted through the decades and is reemerging as an empowering statement for all, as female-identified bodies and rights remain under attack. Inflexibile and compulsory sexual and gender binaries are used to oppress and deny people their humanity and agency. Otherwild believes in an inclusive, expanded and fluid notion of gender expression, identities and feminisms. We support liberation, embrace our trans sisters and brothers, and call for the end of patriarchal ideology, domination, oppression and violence. We believe that “The Future is Female” is the past, the present and the future, and is language that resonates.

The to-go straw everyone needs! This straw comes with its own cleaner and carrying case so you can take it with you wherever you need to go!
This straight straw is made from food grade stainless steel 304 and features a very mini Life Without Plastic logo stitched to the side. It is 8.7" / 22 cm long and its opening is roughly 0.3" / 0.8 cm in diameter which makes it great for most drinks!
The straw comes with its very own metal cleaning brush with nylon bristles. The brush is quite long and reaches deep into the straw for a great cleaning. It also has a little loop near the end to prevent it getting stuck in the straw.
The straw comes with its own carrying case which is made from GOTS certified organic cotton and features a small fabric loop to fold down the top flap and keep your straw secured.
The best way to keep the straw clean is to rinse it immediately after each use and to use the brush to reach any stubborn areas. The organic cotton pouch can be washed by hand or in the washing machine and should be laid flat to dry.
