Inspired by the surprising strength of the apple crates he played on as a child, Frank Gehry created his thoroughly original collection of bentwood furniture. The ribbon-like designs transcend the conventions of style by exploring, as the great modernists did, the essential challenge of deriving form from function.

Constructed of hard white maple veneer strips, laminated 6 to 9 thick with high-bonding urea glue. Thermo-set assembly glue provides structural rigidity without the need for metal connectors. Chair back flexes for added comfort. To maximize tension compression, limited assembly glue is used in woven seat: weaves flex in unison for spring-like comfort. The JH3 Formakami Pendant represents traditional materials with a modern twist. In the Formakami series, designer Jaime Hayon created a collection of paper lanterns all in white, each one featuring a unique shape and size. Dating back centuries, paper lanterns have featured in Asia amongst the privileged and the poor, where different colors, shapes and sizes connote different meanings. As seen in The Lekker Creative.
"Lamps play such an important role in people's lives," explains Hayon. "For some cultures, they chase away the darkness by bringing hope. I've tried to keep this emotional angle about light—in a lamp that also appears light. By making the bottom part of the lamp open, the idea is to bring even more illumination to people everywhere in the world."

Designed by George Nelson in 1952, these elegant fixtures are fashioned from a sturdy, lightweight steel frame yet have a delicate, floating quality.

Nelson was inspired by a set of silk-covered Swedish hanging lamps that he wanted to acquire for his office, but he found the price to be prohibitive. An ingenious and resourceful designer, he went on to create the first set of Bubble Lamps using a translucent white plastic spray. Nelson drew from elemental, organic shapes in making variations including sconces, table lamps and floor lamps.

Pendant includes a brushed, nickel-plated steel ceiling plate measuring 5.25" and a 6-foot cord. Product is UL-listed and rated for bulbs up to 150 watts. Bulb is not included.

Nelson™ Lantern Bubble Pendant

Inspired by a resting drop of water, the Fluid Pendant by Muuto diffuses light and brings a soft and cosy atmosphere to any room. Elegant on its own, the Fluid can be grouped in multiples in varying sizes for an elevated look.

The Way Mat by ferm LIVING is made by upcycling used plastic bottles, presenting an incredibly durable and sustainable design which can be used outside. Its woven recycled polyester gives the mat a lovely texture and the asymmetry of the fringes evokes a classic look with a twist.

100% polyester made from recycled plastic bottles. Feather and polyester filling. Made from 48 recycled plastic bottles. Hand-woven cover. Suitable for outdoor use as it is made from recycled plastic bottles. The inner cushion, however, contains down feathers, so should not be exposed to long periods of rain. If inner cushion does get wet, it should be removed, cleaned and dried before further outdoor use. 30°C gentle wash. Dry flat.

The most recent addition to the Échasse family, Menu’s Échasse Hurricane is the ultimate amplification of hygge. The word échasse is French for stilts – and this orbital-shaped hurricane is anchored to the table by four slender legs that resemble stilts. The inventive shape was designed as a sanctuary for tea light candles, preventing breezes from extinguishing the candle light. Échasse Hurricane is available in opal or smoked glass.

Jh5 Formakami Pendant

Relax for a spell on the Eames Chaise. The gentle slopes of the frame elevate your legs and head for a healthy and relaxing recline. With its lithe silhouette and sculptural frame and base, the Eames chaise looks as good as it feels. Charles & Ray Eames designed it in 1955 for film director Billy Wilder, who specially requested a narrow office couch that allowed comfortable naps, but would not encourage hours of sleeps. Herman Miller began producing the piece in 1968.

You can have it in any of three combinations , white leather on white frame, black leather on graphite frame or black leather on eggplant frame. Six 2.5"-thick foam cushions and two additional loose cushions give added support to your neck, knees, back or feet. The die-cast aluminum frame and base are stable and strong. A scratch-resistant, nylon coating applied electrostatically to the aluminum resists scratching. The cushions are joined by flexible zippers and secured to nylon fabric slung tightly on the frame.

If you choose to use it as a dining table with chairs, pull up any kind you like; a design this pure will complement any style of seating, from mid-century modern pieces from Eames and Nelson to contemporary chairs from Magis and Mattiazzi. Available in three widths with a 30" depth.

The white laminate tabletop features a walnut veneer edge, while the studio white laminate tabletop features a white ash veneer edge. Veneer tops will have a matching veneer edge band.

Please note that no two natural wood products look exactly alike and they will change color will age. For veneer, the lighter the stain the more you'll see of the grain. Santos palisander has an exuberant grain pattern, which can become a significant design element.

Petal® End Table

Initially, Arne Jacobsen designed the Ant™ for the canteen at Novo Nordic, an international Danish healthcare company. Today, the Ant™ is one of the prominent icons of the collection. Originally, the Ant™ was close to ending up as just another prototype, since Fritz Hansen wasn't convinced of the chair's potential. The chair, however, survived the initial skepticism when Arne Jacobsen guaranteed to buy all chairs produced, if no one else would. Despite its minimalist form and svelte shape, the Ant is an extremely comfortable chair.

Yoshii towels are constructed in the traditionally slim Japanese style, with smooth textures in fresh, compact proportions. Each towel is woven on traditional weaving looms with soft, twisted-ring "Shanker 6" threads, which are massaged down, puffed, and combed twice for ultimate softness. Cultivated with low agricultural chemicals and made of 100% organic, hand-picked cotton, these threads guarantee a superior, environmentally-friendly towel.
