The PK24™ chaise longue chair, with its easy curves and organic shape, stands out as perhaps the most recognizable chair in Poul Kjærholm’s work. Inspiration for this chair comes from the Rococo period and the French chaise longue – long chair – that featured the same curve and size. The chair is a prime and almost extreme example of Kjærholm’s principle of designing with independent elements. Consequently, the chair has no physical connection between the main parts, which are instead kept together by gravity and the friction between the elements. Kjærholm also labelled the PK24 the “Hammock Chair” to stress that the chair functioned by suspending the body between two points.

PK24™ is available in wicker or fully upholstered in a limited range of leathers. Both versions include a leather headrest. The base is made of satin brushed stainless steel. Online options include upholstery in Aura or Grace leather in black or walnut with matching headrest or woven in wicker with choice of black or walnut headrest in Aura Leather. The Drop™ chair was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1958 as part of his masterpiece, the legendary Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The Blown pendant takes an archetypal shape, the oil jar, to a new level of artistry and reinterpretation. Designed by Samuel Wilkinson, this pendant has one of the largest diameters that can be mouth blown and spun accurately. Wilkinson, a young London-based industrial design talent, says that Blown was born from a study of the reflection and refraction in glass. He wished to design a textured volume that breaks up and reflects light.

Both the SW3 and SW4 are made of mouth blown glass and powder coated metal. Silver Luster pendant includes 157.48" black textile cord. Opal pendant includes 157.48" white textile cord. Canopy is included. Note the SW4 takes a candelabra bulb and the SW3 takes an e26 bulb.

A five-year design investigation led him to the revolutionary Pedestal Collection, introduced in 1958, which was inspired by a drop of high-viscosity liquid. His now-iconic Pedestal table features a cast-aluminum base with abrasion-resistant Rilsan® finish and a solid marble, wood veneer or laminate tabletop. Stone masters carefully select marble with the best composition and veining to create tops for marble Saarinen Pedestal Tables. Please rest assured that each one’s unique markings are the very traits that make it a true one of a kind.

Coated marble tops have a transparent, high-polish, polyester coating and satin-coated marble tops have a matte satin polyester coating; both types help protect against stains. The satin finish gives the stone a natural, honed appearance while providing the same protection as coated marbles. Marble tops are .75" thick with a beveled-edge. Available in 35", 42", 47”, 54” and 60" diameter. Also available as a side table.

MAINTENANCE:
As a natural product the marble tabletops are quite durable and don’t require high maintenance. The Saarinen marble tabletops are sealed with a transparent polyester coating, creating a non-porous surface to prevent use-associated stains. For daily care and maintenance you can wash the surface with lukewarm water; for a more thorough cleaning you can clean with a non-abrasive solution such as Windex or rinse with warm water and dry with a soft cloth. It is important to note that if you proceed with a white based marble as opposed to the darker marbles (e.g. Nero Marquina) the coating may yellow over time giving the marble a warmer tone.

Saarinen Dining Table 54" Round

The Jehs+Laub Lounge Chair, inspired by the structure and geometry of earlier Knoll designs, is the latest in a long and distinguished line of Knoll lounge furniture. The sweeping form is balanced by an inviting interior inspired by traditional quilting. As seen in The Lekker Creative.

When the opportunity to develop a new lounge collection arose in 2007, Knoll Director of Design Benjamin Pardo immediately went to German designers Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub. They studied all the Knoll classic furniture and were impressed by the structure and pattern of the Florence Knoll Sofa, the Bertoia Chairs and the Mies Chair, inspiring them to pursue a design with quilting.

Jehs+laub Lounge Chair - Wire Base

Unmistakably Eames, the wire chair continues to add interest and comfort to home interiors, just as it has done for more than half a century.

The curved, bucket-back seat is made of cross-woven wires and secured on a welded wire base, also called the "Eiffel Tower" because of its resemblance to another classic design. Available as all wire or with two leather seat pad options.

To achieve strength and an organic shape, the designers made the rim of the chair out of light-gauge wire, then doubled it. The chair has cross-weaving only where strength is required, so it is also lightweight.

Ch36 Dining Chair

The stylish Array Coffee Table features an elegant, geometric base that repeats around a central axis to create a contemporary accent design.  The laminate top has a beveled, exposed-ply edge and a durable surface. Designed to nest with each other and the Array End Table.

Plastic bumpers on base to prevent floor damage.

Vitra’s Panton Chair was conceived by Verner Panton in 1960 and is lauded as an icon of twentieth-century design. This chair is constructed with one piece of plastic in a cantilevered design, making it a striking addition to your indoor or outdoor dining space without sacrificing functionality.
