The Elisa Two Seat Sofa by Driade was designed by Enzo Mari in 1971.  The re-edition of the design by Driade was launched at Salone Del Mobile, Milan 2015.

The Tangled Show Case was added by Carolina Wilcke to her Tangled series for Spectrum in 2017. Carolina drew the inspiration for the showcase from the steel window frames that were often used in industrial buildings. The fact that Carolina was trained not only as a designer but also as a goldsmith is reflected in the refined details and graphic lines of this elegant display case. The construction and the steel frame give the accessories that are placed in the cabinet the attention they deserve. Thanks to the sleek design and sturdy steel construction, this display case fits perfectly in a luxurious interior, gallery or as a presentation cabinet in a store. The slim frame of the Tangled Show Case is made of 10 mm solid steel, matt black epoxy coated. The display case can be finished in clear glass or smoke glass and has four shelves with a space of 34 cm high. On both sides the display case has a door that is closed in the frame with the help of a magnet. On request, the doors can be fitted with a lock that can be fitted with a padlock. The SF 28 Bauhaus lamp design was developed by a group of architects from the Swedish functionalist movement, which emerged at the same time as the Bauhaus era. A similar lamp was produced by Gispen in the Netherlands at the same time – once again, a hemisphere was placed loosely on the glass as a reflector.
The polished aluminum cap stays on the glass sphere through friction alone. The reflector can be adjusted at any time without causing glare. This table lamp has retained its practicality throughout the years thanks to its design, which has been reduced to the simplest spherical and cylindrical shapes that are necessary to enable its functions.

The Deskey Table Lamp in an iconic art deco table lamp designed in 1934 by Donald Deskey.  Donald Deseky is considered to be one of the great American pioneers of industrial design.  His primary focus during his career was on furniture and textiles.  Much of his design work was completed in the 1930s and 1940s.  During that time he created the interior design for Radion City Music Hall.

"Classicism in Prussia was clearer and simpler than anywhere else," observed product designer Dieter Rams about Schinkel’s New Pavilion in the park of Charlottenburg Palace (1824/25). This Classicism, as Schinkel understood it, was, in fact, the contemporary style as well, but above all, it was part of a universal environmental design, which aimed at combining buildings and gardens in an industrialized garden realm, with the ultimate intention of modernizing and civilizing the military-agrarian state of Prussia.
Schinkel’s garden chair, originally pro­duced in the (state-owned) royal iron foundry in Berlin, was a product of an industry which was developing rapidly thanks to the steam engine, an early mass-produced item made from a few parts and without a restriction in numbers: its function was to add to relaxation in gardens and parks, respite which the people who made the chair were initially able to enjoy only rarely, if at all.  In formal terms, the side parts, with their centrally connected curved segments, point to an item of furniture which was designed almost a century later, the re-edition of which can now be found in many living rooms and apartments: the Barcelona chair designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1928 for the German Pavilion at the World Fair in Barcelona.

Hlws 04 Pendant Lamp By Tecnolumen

Taking inspiration from Marcel Breuer's S41 Cabinet of 1924, this cabinet was "updated"  by Florian Borkenagen in 1991.  In the S41-2 version, the German artist Borkenagen uses a combination of stainless steel and various drawer handles to create this design.
The S41-2 comes in a 6 drawer or 9 drawer format.

Le Corbusier designed the original Petite Lounge Chair (LC2) collection based on the human scale. A strong advocate of Modernism, Le Corbusier created a range of Petite Lounge Chairs (LC2) that express his ideas with great sophistication.
Mrs. Heidi Weber of Zurich first put the Le Corbusier Petite Lounge collection into production in 1959. With his approval, she changed the appearance of this chair and added this loveseat. She removed the spring mechanism and used fabricating methods which allowed the frame to be chromed. She also gave the cushions a more formal, tailored look. Her contribution to the re-design of the collection was instrumental in the commercial success of the collection.
In 1922, Le Corbusier turned his attention to the growing problem of slums in Paris.  His desire to was to create an efficient way to house the masses in a way that would raise their quality life.  The Immeubles Villas design of multi-family urban housing would be a demonstration of Le Corbusier’s solution.  The multi-story design included cell style housing (perhaps based on the Carthusian monastery cells monks in which lived that he had seen in his travels through Europe).
Shortly after the presentation of the Immeubles Villa, Le Corbusier presented his idea of a city for 3 million inhabitants or the “Contemporary City”.  Instead of a few blocks of housing, a massive city would be planned around a highly efficient transportation hub.  Skyscrapers of cell housing were set within areas of rectangular parks.  At this time it was groundbreaking vision, but one that would become reality in parts of the world, such as Eastern Europe.

Pierre Chareau designed this table lamp in 1928 in France.  This style of shade became a common theme in other lighting elements created by this famous modern classic designer.  The design is recognized as a revolutionary achievement for the time.
As early as 1900 Chareau began his artistic career as a student of the famous Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris where he focused on architecture and design. By the 1920's he was already known in the design world for his complex structures and innovative use of architectural space. Pierre Chareau began to explore an interest in Cubist space by the mid-1920s and soon after his designs became highly sculptural. He is known for his use of combining materials such as lightly hammered steel, unpolished metals, and rich mahogany.

Alfred Extendable Dining Table By Midj

Designed in 2003 by Vico Magistretti, the 0302 Bentwood Dining Table looks like it may have been from one of the early Michael Thonet Catalogs.  With a support structure in solid beech with rounded bentwood section elements, it pairs well with many of the Michael Thonet bentwood chairs. The Magistretti 03 02 base is made up of three legs intersected by two bentwood hoops of the same diameter. The round, flush top is in tempered polished transparent glass or white back painted glass.

The Junior Crate Chair is a child version of the original Crate Chair, designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1934. The chair is part of a series of crate furniture that Rietveld designed in the crisis of the 1930s, a time when there was a strong need for affordable and comfortable furniture. Rietveld made the chair as a do-it-yourself package from the pine crates that served as transport packaging for his furniture. A way of reusing that he was far ahead of his time. The chair has, therefore, become a true design classic. The Junior Crate Chair is made of solid beech wood and is available in untreated or varnished beech, and in red or black. A matching pillow is available, in plain ecru or with a Miffy image. The high chair is packed in a nice gift box and can easily be assembled. A wonderful gift for a design enthusiast.
