Showing off its industrial roots, the Bestlite wall light variation BL5 is both highly functional and elegantly engineered. The adjustable arm moves up and down and can be positioned horizontally or vertically and the shade is moveable as well. Designed by the British designer Robert Dudley Best in 1930, the utilitarian ethos and now-classic lines were influenced by the Bauhaus credo of the era. Designers Marco Biegert and Andreas Funk of German brand Biegert & Funk have reinvented the notion of telling time with an innovative, artful way of broadcasting it. Qlock's clever display "combines the moment with the written word and turns it into a statement," notes Marco and Andrea of their critically acclaimed invention. Precise time is displayed typographically, in a matrix of words and pinpoints sharply illuminated by LEDs. Hours and 5-minute increments are spelled out, and one of four pinpoints at the base of the face adds each additional minute. Seconds and calendar day can be displayed by pressing the button on the side of the face, which are shown as large numbers on the front matrix. Description

Configured for a left-hand orientation, the notched drawer is cantilevered from the frame for a floating appearance. Assembly is simple, with only a few bolts needed to create an extremely sturdy desk that is attractive from all angles. Drawer available in either carefully matched wood veneers or ultra high-gloss polyurethane and equipped with soft-close runners and cable-management opening. Choose the desktop in either durable tempered glass or a range of matte-lacquer wood finishes.

Description

With the indulgence of a top surface in rich marble or limestone, Stockholm-based designers Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle present an elevated version of their Luc 160 sideboard with 2 large storage drawers. The thought behind the collection was to combine several materials in one cabinet and still retain an elegant minimalistic look. Made in Sweden for innovative Swedish modernist brand Asplund, the cabinet is fashioned in solid oak with a choice of lacquered finishes and rests on a stained-oak stand that is available in several woodgrain options.
