Even animal lovers won't growl as the Polar Bear Trophy Head joins the Bend Goods lineup. Designer Gaurav Nanda's graphic representation in steel wire starts with just a mathematical pursuit of big game. "The shapes may look simple," he notes, "but in actuality they are created with bends and angles that are complex formulas." A machine-molded frame undergoes countless handmade spot-welds in a process Gaurav refers to as "bending." Fabricated in his L.A. studio, the pieces are then sandblasted, primed to withstand rust, and powder coated.

Inspired by ancient terracotta objects, Italian designer Simone Bonanni wanted his Obon Table series to look earthy and “gently imperfect.” The low rectangular version, like its other 2 companion pieces, features an irregular, slab-like surface and a cylindrical base. Handmade—and therefore each one unique—the table is made of ceramic with a glazed top, in either terracotta’s natural reddish-brown hue or in a gray shade.
