The use of metal and color offers a nice contrast to other outdoor furniture collections. Steel is a strong, timeless and malleable material enabling designs with thin profiles and various patterns and shapes. To minimize corrosion, the steel is electro-galvanized with a protective layer of zinc. Moreover, the steel has received a decorative powder coating a high-quality and dry finishing process that gives a stronger and more streamlined surface than conventional liquid paintings.

Designed by Michael Anastassiades in 2014, the IC lighting collection explores balance and simplicity of materials. For this minimalist collection, designer Anastassiades took inspiration from a video of a contact juggler spinning a set of spheres, balancing them around on his arms, moving them to the tips of his fingers. The lamp is made from a hand-blown opaline glass sphere, attached to a black, brass, or chrome-plated steel base. This authentic design is produced in Italy exclusively by Italian lighting company, FLOS

Inspired by the traditional lanterns that light up homes along the coast, Cesta is one of the most iconic lamps created by Miguel Milá.
Strolling through Barcelona in the 1960s, designer Miguel Milá found an abandoned opal globe in front of a glass factory. He picked it up, and over the years, it became the heart of this large family. As its name suggests, Cesta (Spanish for basket), was designed to hold this fragile piece.
This lamp can be picked up and easily carried, ideal for both tabletops and floors. The opal glass shade is supported by a beautiful cherry wooden structure. It is produced manually by European craftsmen, using traditional steam bending techniques for the wood, which is delicately polished and sturdily put together.

The Maija collection conveys the feeling of light in Baltic cities, where the streets are barely illuminated, apart from the light beaming through the windows of homes and shops.
Inspired by this, Finnish design Ilmari Tapiovaara created a honeycomb structure composed of stacked metal discs. In 1955, when Alvar Aalto was the dominant figure of Helsinkis cultural life, Ilmari Tapiovaara presented himself as the first Finnish non-architect designer. An expert in chairs and furniture, he created his sole and unique household lamp: Maija.

The symbolic shape of the Pomegranate chair is a tribute to deeply allegorical and often holy meaning of the pomegranate fruit in different cultures.
Symbolizing immortality of the soul and perfection of nature, a fruit of “a thousand seeds”, has a very distinct place in Sergo Parajanov’s iconic films as well, that are an inseparable part of the designers' cultural memory and visual influence.
With pomegranate chair, Rooms Studio wanted to create something simple, but wild at the same time. Shaped like a Pomegranate, the back and the arms of the chair accentuates its organic, rounded forms. The simple geometric bottom half and overall raw, handmade quality give it a human-made feel. Hand-carved from reclaimed timber, the piece is truly one-of-a-kind.

In every rural Sardinian home, there are a few wooden, caned chairs that sit in a corner.
They are pulled out when visitors come over, when the fire is lit, when it is time to sit in a circle and shell fava beans or crack open almonds. They come in various sizes, with older Sardinians preferring the smallest, child-sized chairs to perch on.
Chiara Andreatti was inspired by the social aspect behind their use, and by the variations of design and decoration that can be found on historic versions. Her contemporary designs are enlarged versions - by maintaining the classic proportions while making them bigger overall, she has made them both important and comfortable. The decorations are directly inspired by her various experiences on the island, from visits to local weavers to handmade pasta (lorighittas) to the shapes of ancient talismans.
For production, she worked with craftsmen Pierpaolo Mandis. Pierpaolo is a third-generation woodworker and chair maker from the hillside town of Mogoro who works alongside his brother-in-law. His father still goes every June to pick river reeds that will dry in the loft of their workshop before being soaked and hand twisted to become the intricate weaving on Chiara’s chairs.

Maija 15 Table Lamp

Pioneering designer Ferrán Freixa chose to create the Nagoya Lamp from poplar - an abundant yet distinct material.
The poplar tree, characteristic to river banks and wetlands, produces a white wood that is soft and almost knot-free. The wood needs to be felled before autumn in order to preserve its whiteness and flexibility. Thin vertical strips are attached to a small, circular metal rod structure to create an oriental-style lamp with a Zen feel. The lamp was the first winner of the Golden Delta ADI-FAD award for the best industrial design produced in Spain back in 1961.
Today, the lamp is produced by Barcelona-based lighting purveyor, Santa & Cole.

Nagoya Hanging Lamp

Inspired by the shy and elusive mountain antelope from the Bale Mountains of East Africa, the hand-carved armrests and legs of the Nyala chair echo its distinctive soaring horns and sturdy hind legs.
Staying true to the non-territorial nature of the Nyala, the chair blends with the design pallet of modern living spaces while maintaining its individuality.
Unfortunately, the population of the antelope that inspired this chair has declined from over 25K to under 2.5K in the last 30-40 years. In the Bale Mountain region, there are around a thousand remaining.
To heighten awareness of this decline, we will limit lifetime production to 1,000 - One chair to represent each antelope on the Bale Mountain. A portion of sales will be donated to support research or conservation fieldwork in Bale Mountains National Park.

Miguel Milá is one of the most renowned Spanish industrial designers. He began his career in the fifties, and is one of the countrys pioneers of the discipline. To the present day, his works have remained true contemporary classics.

Designed in 1972, the Multi-Lite Pendant can be directed upwards, downwards or project an asymmetrical art light.
Composed of two individual rotating shades, the Multi-Lite pendant and can be transformed into multiple combinations for different directionality. The lamp is available in several colors, but all the shades are white lacquered inside.
The fixture is produced to the designer's original specifications by Danish design company Gubi.

An innovative LED-based lighting system, created by renowned designer Konstantin Grcic for FLOS. The foundation of the the Noctambule series is a transparent hand-blown glass cylinder, surrounded on both top and bottom by discrete LED technology. These cylinders stack to form columns of light that illuminate at the intersection between each module.

Configurable as a hanging or standing lamp, Noctambule features additional components that allow for numerous options. The cylinders are available in two heights (Low and High), and a bowl or cone-shaped head can also be added for more directional light. All fixtures are also dimmable (the floor lamp models equipped with a pedal-based dimmer switch).

Functioning as a small shelf, this Danish-designed lamp is our new favorite piece for small spaces.
Designed by Frama, the lamp is made of a simple sheet of metal, folded at a 90-degree angle. Just large enough to hold a glass of water and your wallet, this lamp is a perfect stand-in for a nightstand or console table in an entryway. Available in a number of color variations, we are partial to the untreated brass and copper options which will develop rich patinas with age and use. Keep these beautiful signs of aging, or polish them away using brass or copper polishes. For all the fixtures, bulbs must be purchased separately, but we suggest one from Frama's Atelier filament bulb collection.
Frama is an interiors and product design studio based out of St. Paul's Apotek, an antique pharmacy located in the center of Copenhagen. The company uses their studio as a dynamic testing ground for new designs and projects, embodying their classical, yet boundary-pushing approach to product and spatial design.
