KATIA SILK twine is a medium-weight handspun silk twine. This multi-colored twine varies in thickness and is very fragile in nature. Beautiful as an accent or wrapping to create texture. Not strong enough on its own to firmly hold items together, but creates a beautiful accent when tied around a single invitation.
Each of our silk twines is created from silk cocoons sustainably gathered from a protected forest in eastern India. The cocoons are gathered after the moths have left the cocoon, so this silk twine would also be referred to as "peace" silk or Ahimsa silk {meaning: "nonviolence"}. Each part of the cocoon is used, creating no waste. The varying textures and widths reflect the varying parts of the cocoon.

Opening 7/8” —designed for a standard taper candle. Due to the handmade nature, expect a 1/8" margin in either direction. This means some candles may perch on top, and others may need a few drops of wax in the base to hold candles erect.

ARPA ENVELOPES - Deckled Edge Handmade Envelopes
These lovely deckled edge envelopes are of the highest quality & handmade by artisans in Spain. ARPA uses traditional papermaking techniques and gives the utmost attention to the craft of each piece they create. Designed to be used with our Silk & Willow handmade Papers.
Cotton / Bleach-free
Color / Light gray is a neutral gray hue
NOTE / These envelopes do not have “gum” to seal them closed. They will require glue, double-sided tape, or wax seal to seal them closed.
Size / with handmade items slight variations are always possible, but we find the envelopes to be very consistent.
Printing / Letterpress, offset printing, or hand calligraphy. Compatible with home Ink-jet printer. We have used laser printing with Arpa envelopes but the results are varied, we do not recommend using laser printing unless you do your own testing.

Each of our silk twines is created from silk cocoons sustainably gathered from a protected forest in eastern India. The cocoons are gathered after the moths have left the cocoon, so this silk twine would also be referred to as "peace" silk or a himsa silk {meaning: "nonviolence"}.
