Wood is a great ally of cozy lighting. It is a material that is hard to mold, a challenge that the Ginger collection neatly resolves. The combination of sheets of wood, paper and resins pressed together under high pressure achieves a laminate that appears almost entirely flat, which discreetly lights up spaces with indirect light.
The Ginger collection has been expanded over time to provide solutions to different lighting needs, and is available in pendant, table, wall, and floor lamp versions. This year, we are adding a new, smaller pendant lamp, a portable table lamp, another version of wall lamp with a movable arm, and three different sizes of flush-mount wall lamps. The latter boast extraordinary structural simplicity, and can be combined with each other to great effect.

The new wall lamps, which are formally extremely simple, are manufactured in three sizes. They also come in a set of two or three pieces to meet the qualities and needs of the space. The inside of the lampshade is offered not only in white but also in an oak and wenge finish, yielding different shades of light.

Melt Table Light - Copper

Los Angeles based designer Stephen Kenn has long been inspired by clean and simple design aesthetics and the stories inherent in vintage military fabrics. In 2011 he combined those two loves by creating The Inheritance Collection. The collection was the result of an exploration of how furniture is constructed, and then a desire to distill the process down to the barest bones. Likening the process of furniture construction to the way the human body is constructed, the frame, belts, and cushions became the bones, muscles, and skin of each piece.
The frame is copper plated and then oxidized to create an antique finish. The natural cotton canvas and webbing is hand dipped in natural indigo before being paired with antique brass hardware and vegetable tanned leather. The resulting sofa is simple and comfortable and will wear well with age.

Hans Brattrud designed the Scandia range in 1957 as a school project. At that time, however, he was not able to manufacture the chairs properly.
In 1958, Brattrud saw laminated wooden products for the first time on a fair in Germany and understood that this was the right method for industrializing his Scandia design. High voltage laminating was in it's infancy, but he convinced a factory in Norway, Hove Møbler, to buy equipment for wood laminating. They then began manufacturing the Scandia range in 1961.
They were manufactured in Norway and distributed all over the world until the early 1970`s.
Today they are sold at auctions and vintage shops all over the world and have become a true Scandinavian classic.
Hans had his own design office in Oslo from 1958 until 1963 and developed many national and international projects. Working on one of these projects made him interested in prefabricating houses. After this, his primary focus was to develop designs for prefabricating houses and other architectural patents. Today the Scandia chair is manufactured exclusively by the Norwegian company, Fjordfiesta, with approval of Hans Brattrud.

Portuguese designer Rui Alves was inspired to create The Tailor Sofa by the memory of his grandfather’s favorite tailor shop. An image of the tailors bent over work tables and of old wooden hangers holding grey suits has stayed with Rui. Like that tailor shop, he has designed the Tailor Sofa to be authentic, with everything on display: “I wanted to show all of it, the structure, the beautiful oak wood. Nothing should be hidden, as is normally done in sofa design. The sofa is meant to be seen from all sides.”. It is especially beautiful from behind. The sofa has a light and airy appearance, the structured upholstered part supported by the wooden frame for a comfortable and practical sofa for everyday use.

The frame is made of oak wood and holds a foam shell covered upholstery. The detail in the wood and the upholstery give the sofa a handmade look and all the wood joints are carefully designed to follow the round shape of the sofa.
