In 1968 the students' revolts in Paris, Rome and the United States were overthrowing stiff, old values, and initiating the Flower-Power generation of peace, love and harmony. Same year, Stanley Kubrick pictured the future of the year 2001, featuring the Verner Panton Chair, and man was soon to set foot on the moon. In the world of design, a colorful, playful pendant hung in restaurants and exhibitions, and very soon, in everybody's homes. The FlowerPot with its two semi-circular spheres facing each other has long proved its lasting design quality and is just as much a synonym of our time, too.
In his young days, Panton often set off from Copenhagen in an odd looking converted Volkswagen for a trek across Europe, dropping in on fellow designers to share ideas - and good meals.
The Flowerpot series consists of several different models, including three pendants and two table lamps - all in a wide range of colors.

The Greek goddess Theia – mother of the sun, the moon and the dawn – lends her name to this lamp, whose design seeks to express the beauty of light and the fascination we feel for it. In Theia, the materials and shapes are merely the physical manifestations of the underlying concept: merging both light and shadow in a single piece.
Theia has two faces: to discover them, simply swivel the fixture around its central axis. It can be pointed towards you for use as a reading lamp, or towards an object or a wall, creating a subtle, indirect light that immediately warms the atmosphere. Because Theia’s metal lampshade is totally opaque, this swivelling movement totally shifts the perception of the piece.
Theia’s formal design is elementary and streamlined: two half-spheres, one placed horizontally and the other vertically, which intersect with each other. Just as in nature itself, these formal elements make it possible for the light from a source to be simultaneously projected, reflected, and absorbed by objects for our visual enjoyment.

Serge Mouille's insect-like designs from the 1950's were created as a reaction to heavier, clunkier Italian designs of the time. Serge Mouille wanted to create a modern lighting fixtures that had delicte lines and a stunning visual presence. The Three-Arm Ceiling lamp is a hanging version of the Three Arm Floor Lamp (one of Serge's original designs). True to Serge Mouille's original production philosophy, each piece is made entirely by hand in France using the original forms, molds and techniques created by Mouille nearly 70 years ago. The unique brass joint allows the head to swivel and turn to any position and hold steady. Each piece is stamped and numbered. Only 600 pieces are produced each year at the Mouille factory and distributed around the world.
