Wood is a great ally of cozy lighting. It is a material that is hard to mold, a challenge that the Ginger collection neatly resolves. The combination of sheets of wood, paper and resins pressed together under high pressure achieves a laminate that appears almost entirely flat, which discreetly lights up spaces with indirect light.

The Ginger collection has been expanded over time to provide solutions to different lighting needs, and is available in pendant, table, wall, and floor lamp versions. This family-owned pan-forge business which has been in the Riess family for nine generations was founded in 1550 in Ybbsitz, Austria. Today it is known for its top quality enamel-ware, made in their carbon neutral facility using locally-generated hydro power along the Ybbs river. Riess uses a 40-step handmade process to make each enameled pot. Iron pots are pressed and stamped, and dipped in porcelain enamel, dried and fired at 850°C to be glass-fused. The result is long lasting, heat resistant up to 450°C, non-reactive, anti-bacterial, cut and scratch resistant. Since Riess’s porcelain enamel is all natural, including the metal oxides used in the dyes, the entire item is metal-recyclable.

In 1955 Barba Corsini renovated the loft space within Antonio Gaudi's famous building "La Pedrera" in Barcelona, transforming it from a simple laundry room and storage area into 13 modern duplex apartments. Corsini used a series of parabolic arcs to create individual rooms and give an illusion of space and height.
