The Story

Ancient incense, sustainably harvested.
Directions: Light the end of the smudge stick with a lighter or a match, and allow smudge to smolder and fill your space with the resinous scent of the west’s mountain-backcountry. Relight as desired. Have a bowl of sand nearby to extinguish. Be careful with fire and never leave the burning smudge stick alone.
White Sage – Beautiful leaf clusters and enormous flowering stalks burst forth in the spring, painting streaks of white against the rusty green hillsides.
Mugwort – Thick stands of fragrant, broad leaved plant run up and down both sides of the riparian, mountain paradise. The sound of a creak rippling under the sweet, sunshine wind full of bees and hummingbirds enjoying the new flowers after the snowmelt.
Cedar – The dappled light through a thick forest in the Pacific Northwest marks the trail back to the campfire. Little mushrooms rise up through the damp, black soil on both sides of the narrow path under the towering trees.

All natural fiber bilum bag, handwoven with natural plant fibers by female artisans. The fibers are hand processed by sourcing, stripping, and twisting local plants into string. Pigment is achieved through soaking and boiling items such as berries, tree bark and mud.
Handwoven by the Highlands women of Papua New Guinea, using the skills and knowledge passed down from their ancestors. Each bag is unique, reflecting the process of sourcing the fiber and dying the bilum that is specific to each weaver. One bilum can take several months to complete.

Poured by Linda's artisanal hand in small, carefully crafted batches in Wary Meyer's studio in Cumberland, Maine. 6.7 oz. 40 hour burn time.
Wary Meyers candles are made from a blend of premium food grade paraffin (the exact same as what you find on chocolate and cheese), and soy wax. The wick is all cotton. Their oils are the highest quality pthalates-free fragrances infused with essential oils. Their boxes are made from 100% recycled paper, and the glasses are made with recycled glass.
