I was very moved by the happy co-existence between the lushness of the forest and the striking modernity of Burle Marx's architectural designs. Even though it is a well-known old testament reference, all great monotheistic religions accept the ark as a symbol of mankind's salvation. I wanted to represent it for everyone!"

There is a fluidity and movement to the twists that I love. The twisted wires suggest a coming together of things that I find poetic."
