You guys continue to blow us away with your acceptance of this brand. The initial and then repeat business for Warehouse and especially these 4601 Tees has been amazing. I think the quality speaks for itself on these shadowy tees! Once you have one, you know what we're talking about. The only problem is, they're pretty limited so it can take us quite some time to get them back in stock. We snagged some new colors and a few more sizes, but the words out now. People have been asking about them for weeks again. Honestly, they've been asking for more since the last round sold out.
To describe this cotton has been hard we find, not only for us but industry-wide. Some people call it slub. We were calling it texture at first, but ultimately our conversations with Warehouse kept bringing up one word - Shadow. When you put these shirts in the proper light, it makes perfect sense. The highs and lows in color can only truly be described as horizontal shadows in the cotton.
These shirts are known for their texture for a reason. Made on Vintage 60's Era sinker knitting machines, these puppies have no side seams. You will also notice a wrapped, ribbed reinforced collar that will stand up to the daily wear you'll throw at a t-shirt. It truly is unlike nearly anything else on the market. The single yarn knit creates an incredible striation that will age and mold uniquely as you wear the shirt. The hand feel is super soft but you get a texture similar to what we look for in our denim. Warehouse & Co makes one of the best tee shirts in the world.

Fit Notes: Andy a size Large in the pictures. That's his normal size in these tees. They fit smaller already, and they shrink quite a bit in length. So we always size up one.  You can see it is a bit rounder in the body and longer in the length. Shop owner Tommy is 5'10," 165lbs with a 40" chest and also wears a large.

TCB - 505 Jeans - Indigo One Wash
You may be asking yourself why Two Cat's Brand (TCB) is so special. Well, beyond all the obvious details, there's a story. This is a brand that truly does what they love. Most things have a rhyme and reason, but sometimes they just create what suits their needs. The vintage, reproduction inspiration behind the brand is clearly visible. They're honoring styles from the '30s-'60s with a few items dating pre-1900's. Sometimes they create fantasy or future (e.g. present) cuts that didn't exist in the past, but the bulk of their work is true reproduction. That's what we went with on this round. You may also be asking, why such a low price compared to other Japanese brands. This is due to the fact that everything besides the milling of the fabric is done in-house. There is no outsourcing for cutting or sewing. In Kojima, the denim capital of Japan sits their vertically integrated factory where they do: fabric cutting, single stitch sewing, lapping seam sewing, applying buttons and rivets, and much, much more. We are so excited to introduce you to TCB.
For this pair of jeans, TCB referred to the vintage piece from the late 60's when the commercial network started to get organized. At the time, jeans were about to be made for the casual use, not for work use anymore. Eventually, this sparked the boom of jeans as fashion icons, spreading from the east coast of the US (centered in New York) TCB ordered the warps and the wefts exclusively to make this proprietary fabric. The characteristics of the fabric are as follows.

Lighter indigo color, the irregular tinge in indigo brought by its slubby threads.
A more fluffy surface. This indigo is lighter, but still period-correct, due to fashion trends moving away from darker denim (this was used in workwear to hide stains)

According to the fabric weaver TCB partners with, the fluffs on the fabrics can not be controlled at all by how the fabric is woven but only by the quality of the cotton used. To make the ideal fabric for these jeans, they have selected the San Joaquin Cotton. Trust us when we say, these jeans are fluffy. That is TCB's favorite part about the denim.

*Fit Notes: You’ll notice garment waist measurement is smaller than your usual tag size at James Dant. This has much to do with the fact that this style has a higher rise than a majority of our lower to mid-rise styles. Collaborations with Mark Albert are always a labor of love. We've spent a few years now figuring out just what we want in a boot, and we've nailed it! First, we found the perfect silhouette. A classic six inch with Vibram sole. That was a must.
Next, we had the hard task of deciding on leathers. Mark has a warehouse full of the most insane archive hides. What we landed on are 3 equally unique and equally beautiful leathers for this second round of collaborations. Then we had to find a way to refine our boots. Everyone has done a 6 inch. Everyone has created a construction style boot that gives you the longevity but not necessarily the everyday wearability you're looking for. Not anymore. We stuck a white midsole in between that beautiful 360 welt and the Vibram 2060 sole. We love the arch in the 2060 vs the 2061. It also pulls away some of that chunkiness that we're fighting against in such a light foam sole.
We knew we weren't quite done without finishing up the tongue and eyelets. We had to go small and pack those bad boys together to create the look we were going for. Six eyelets and three small speed hooks are definitely not the norm, but we absolutely love the way it looks. And it will honestly be one of the best out-of-the-box fits you've ever put on.
This boot is the first run of the Desert-Sage Colorway. We produced it in a very limited run so snag them while you can.
The Desert Sage is a beautiful Tasman leather with a waterproof finish. It's pretty uncanny to pour water over the top of a roughout boot and watch it roll right off. The tongue is beautiful deep brown leather for contrast. This is seriously such a crisp combo and it's tough for us not to call it the best of the lot. But, we'll leave that decision up to you.

The fit on this boot can be looked at as true to size with most other heritage boots. For us, it fits a bit small so we size up a half size. For others, it has been spot on. The grading (also known as the difference between sizing) seems not to be as drastic as some boots. This means that the smaller sizes from 7-9.5 seem to fit a little small (so size up a half size). From 10-12 they don't fit run as small and seem to be fitting people more true to size. Call us if you have any questions about fit!

Typically, if you have what's considered a small wrist you'll wear a large. If you're sporting a more meaty wrist, go with the XL.
