The designers clear and non-compromising aesthetic vision takes the meaning of simplistic design to a whole new level. Both the seat and flexible back rest are designed in wood, stabilized by the chair's solid steel frame. "The Afteroom Chair is an homage to Bauhaus and functionalism. The simplicity of its design combined with the quality of materials is what's important. We embraced the challenge of designing something minimalistic with clean lines, without in any way compromise its comfort. In that sense we've looked towards classic Scandinavian features as inspiration", says Hung-Ming.

Elsa Beskow was a Swedish children's book author and illustrator. She is often called the 'Beatrix Potter' of Scandinavia. Swedish children have grown up with Elsa Beskow's books for over 100 years.

The Land of Long Ago: Kelly and Kai love to play on the gnarled old tree trunk outside their cottage in the woods: sometimes it becomes a horse, sometimes a crocodile and sometimes even a dragon. Darkly Wall Mirror is an exploration of the history of human beings’ relationship with the reflected image. Some historians believe that the earliest mirrors may have been small ceramic bowls filled with water used during the late Stone Age. The fact that there is no concrete evidence exists to support the theory fascinates designer Nick Ross, whose Darkly Mirror for Menu takes inspiration from the ceramic bowls". That it cannot be proven adds to the object’s mystery. Is this a new object or an old one reinvented? I wanted to take this notion and create a modern object which questioned its possible past and its relation to ‘the self’".

Combining design usability with a traditional cast iron pot, Timo Sarpaneva’s inspiration came from his blacksmith grandfather. Timeless and ingenious design, as functional in the kitchen as appealing on the dining table.
A classic casserole pot, it has  a detachable wooden handle which allows you to lift and move both the pot and its lid. 3 Liters. Cast iron, enameled inside, wooden handle. Cast iron cookware may also be coated with enamel. Enamel protects the surface against rust and strengthens it.
In enamelled products food can be prepared in the oven or on the stove with good results every time. Food cooks evenly and browns well. The enamelled surface prevents food flavors from sticking to the pot, so you can use the same pot for cooking fish as well as meat. Use wooden or plastic kitchen utensils. Sharp objects and scouring agents and sponges can damage the enamel. Always wash enamelled cast iron products by hand, with our without washing liquid. Occasionally, it is recommended to treat the enamelled surface with cooking oil.

Ferm Living Port Fireplace Tools

Give your home a face lift with one of Ferm Living's stylish Kelim cushions. This cushion is made of 80% wool and 20% cotton. Use it for your chair, couch or bed and mix it with other cushions. The cushions are hand made and therefore a slight difference in weaving from cushion to cushion can occur. The weaving technique is 'Punja' loom which is a traditional manual loom and one of the oldest weaving techniques. Also, the wool yarn is hand dyed so some shade variation will occur due to nature of wool and dyeing.

Stig Lindberg was one of the most prolific designers in Scandinavia. For many Swedes, he is representative of the playful design of the 1950´s. Lindberg studied at the Swedish State School of arts, crafts and design in Stockholm, hoping to become a painter. After graduating in 1937 he accepted an employment as a faience painter at Gustavsberg pottery under Wilhelm Kåge. Here the beloved Eva print is relaunched in the ""fika"" plate, 7"" (18 cm). Eva is the ""female"" pattern, while Adam was the ""male"" pattern designed by Stig Lindberg.  Fika which in Swedish means to have a little snack or take a coffee is what Gustavsberg had in mind when they created this small plate.
