Franklin 17 Ceramic Self Watering Pot

Peperomia argyreia 'Watermelon' is native to the northern regions of South America. Commonly called watermelon begonia, or watermelon peperomia, and the unique characteristics of the foliage are what earn this plant its namesake. Raindrop shaped oval leaves, silver and green stripes, and red stems make up the striking features of this easy to care for houseplant. Bright, indirect light is best. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out in between waterings.

Asparagus Plumosa ( setaceus) is a delicate, feathery foliaged plant native to South Africa. It is cultivated both indoors and outdoors in more moderate climates. The Plumosa has a mostly upright and bushy growth habit with a somewhat trailing nature. Despite the common name, this plant is not a true fern and therefore has different care requirements. Bright indirect light will provide the best growing conditions for the Asparagus Plumosa, however it can adapt to medium light spaces. A well draining soil, and slight droughts between waterings will keep this plant looking its best.

A relative of the prayer plant, Stromanthe boast a stunning coloring. Humidity is key, watering whenever the top inch of soil becomes dry. Bright indirect light with no direct sun will keep it happiest.

At Greenery NYC, we've tried many soils over the years. We have the luxury of watching how different substrates perform over time, and in our opinion Happy Frog Ocean Forest Potting Soil is the best option for long term plant health.
Hydrostones are made recycled glass and are a lightweight porous material that we've found interacts well with soil and acts as an excellent root aerator.
Please note that our pre-planted plant/pot combos do not require a potting fee. We'd be just as happy to delivery the plant in a nursery pot with an empty vessel! If you're looking to tackle the job yourself but need a little soil, our soil and drainage are also available for purchase.

This exotic variety of Calathea is renowned for its broad, elegantly patterned leaves. Dramatic striping on Orbifolia's foliage adds texture and impact to your space. It prefers medium to low light conditions and consistent, moderate watering. When properly cared for, its leaves can reach upwards of 8" wide.

Peperomia ‘Raindrop’ is coveted for its bright green, large, plump, teardrop shaped leaves. This easy to maintain houseplant  is native to Colombia and Peru. It is fast growing, and has an upright habit that adds a perky presence to any space. It is non toxic to pets.

Philodendron 'Birkin' is a relatively new hybrid in the aroid market, and a result of the Philodendron 'Congo' and Philodendron 'Imperial green'.  It is a small, upright plant that grows easily in indoor environments. The foliage shows white and bright yellow striped variegation, with a painterly quality that becomes more defined in higher light levels. Each leaf is unique and you may find a wide variety of variegation and markings from leaf to leaf on one plant. As with most philodendrons, the Philodendron 'Birkin' thrives in bright indirect light and appreciates moderately moist soil.
