DETAILS: Pronounced "eye". There's a modern elegance about this ultra green scent. Geranium's dark lush flora casts it's rosey scent over perfectly symmetrical marble pathways. The soil is rich and never goes without water. The summer is cooled by the shade of architecture.

DETAILS: Mars is a terrestrial incense consisting of imaginary resins and spices from the red planet. Our rovers traverse the rocky terrain searching for signs of alien life within the silica regolith. Mars smells of warm red spicy things with a bright and dusty incense at its core. Believe it or not, our team of Martians hand form every cone in the image of Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in our solar system.

In the 80s, she began work at Apple Computer designing fonts, icons, and visual elements for the original Macintosh operating system and applications. Kare designed this set of textiles for the Jacquard loom, an early example of computer-controlled machinery, operated with punched cards and invented by Joseph Jacquard in 1801. This line of fine textiles celebrates the parallels between weaving and pixels; both rely on the idea of a grid spread across the surface of a medium.

The 5 O'Clock Club' is an exploration of the 9-5 culture outside of the office. The work interprets the day-to-day monotony of office workers in a dystopian manner. The first edition of this monograph is 12" x 10.25", hardcover wrapped in Iris Cloth, custom brass die white foil stamp, printed on Sterling 64lb cover stock using a traditional lithographic press at Quantum Graphics in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The body of work contains 52 images.
