Lean Back is an elegant, reclining lounge chair in 1950s design, created by the acclaimed Danish furniture designer, Arne Hovmand-Olsen. This incredibly distinctive table is formed from three sheets of pressed birch veneer. Designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara in the 1950s, the hexagonal table top is supported by three triangular legs. The seams between the pieces create a beautiful pattern on the table top. Stay here, stay with me, stay relaxed, stay and read...The Stay Sofa has a sculptural and organic shape that, besides from giving a contemporary look, also embraces the user and encourages to stay seated. The characteristic shape is almost like a singular continuous pencil stroke wrapping a solid texture. The sofa is suitable for both public spaces and private homes as its small size fits very well to populate spaces of limited size where keeping cosiness and comfort are essential.

Onecollection has relaunched the easy chair, Dennie, which was designed by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel in 1956 for Fritz Hansen. The Dennie Chair is nicely complemented by a footstool and a small table.
Nanna Ditzel, who was one of the most influential modern furniture designers in Denmark, passed away in 2005. Her daughter Dennie, who oversees her parents’ design heritage, asked Onecollection to relaunch the chair which has always held a special place in her mother’s house.
To Dennie, it is her cozy childhood chair, where she sat safely and had stories read out loud to her. The chair, symbolically named Dennie, is available with upholstery in fabric or leather and a frame in chrome or black painted steel. The Dennie Chair combines style with casual comfort. Whether placed in the living room or the office, the curved shape and soft seat create a welcoming vibe that invoke relaxed conversations. Furthermore, an upholstered footstool and a small side table with a white laminate tabletop are part of the Dennie series.

When Finn Juhl first saw this chair he immediately noticed its characteristic back and named it The Peacock Chair - a name which stuck with the chair. Its consciously modern lines are not merely a matter of looks. Rather, the sweeping back with its extravagantly shaped sticks are a feat of ergonomic aesthetics. The flat part of the sticks, which gives it its peacock-like appearance, are placed where the shoulder-blades meet the chair's back.

Designed by Rune Krøjgaard and Knut Bendik Humlevik the Shanghai Chair is a modern interpretation of the ancient Chinese Horseshoe Chair. It can be said that the design goes more than 700 years back as the inspiration for the armrest was found in a chair dating back to the Yuan Dynasty, a period where Marco Polo was still in China. The Shanghai Chair features a steam bent solid ash wood frame and a seat of paper cord or leather. The back and the armrest play a central role in the chair’s construction, giving it an iconic shape and firm support. The high back provides comfortable support and the armrest effortlessly surrounds the body of the chair. The paper cord seat is hand-woven and the leather upholstered seat option comes with Vintage Leather from Sørensen Leather. “It’s still one of the design I’m the most proudest of having designed. The Elephant Chair, designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl, is a modern interpretation of Scandinavian minimalism combined with Japanese aesthetics. The design is inspired by Danish upholstered chairs of the 1950’s, while drawing visible characteristics from the already iconic Mammoth Chair. The result is a light and elegant lounge chair where the Elephant ear shaped back gently curves around the body providing superior comfort. The Elephant chair is hand-crafted with a solid oak wood frame. The chair comes in three frame variations; Natural, Dark Stained, Black and Smoked, and can be upholstered with leather, wool and sheepskin. The seat and back are made from the highest quality compression molded oak veneer shells. The two shells are pressed in the same press mold, and surround the body in a light soft curve. The legs are designed as one single profile without any visible joints. This enriches the experience of the material strength and exchange between the light and heavy dimensions; “elegant and simple but sturdy without being clumsy".
