The Night You Left Coasters

Afromuses in its entirety presents over 181 watercolors created by Chris Ofili between 1995-2005. None of the works are intended as actual representations of real people. Instead, they are figurative expressions. These figures emerge from Ofili's personal references and impressions of memory, day-to-day life and art history. The watercolors were digitally printed onto the tea towels preserving the vibrancy of the original colors. This tea towel, a practical and fun way to dry the dishes, can also be stretched onto a canvas and double up as an affordable artwork for the home.
