The fabric in the dresses are a combination of vintage pieces sourced from all over the US and deadstock fabric from NY cutting rooms. Many of these materials would otherwise be thrown away. The designs make use of what already exists in order to divert materials from landfills. Sustainability in the fashion industry has become a complicated space to navigate but it is truly at the core of La R é union's process and practice.
