The new D7 chair by Klemens Grund reflects Tecta’s way of thinking and constructing. It is kinetically foldable, modifiable, but there is also a rigid version. Klemens Grund concealed the brass folding mechanism almost invisibly in the back leg, rather as an attractive detail than out of technical necessity.  “Most people are surprised that it is foldable as if it were some kind of magic trick,” says the designer.
And there is another hallmark of the D7 Chair that demonstrates its affinity with Tecta. Like Marcel Breuer's D4 Folding Chair (of 1927), once folded and stacked against the wall, the D7 has an almost sculptural quality.

As the name itself says, the Chair from Tonon is made from a thin, flat, flexible, and padded form, which is bent to obtain a unique shell. The shell elements are held in place with special steel fixings which simultaneously create an attractive decoration. The shell is suspended, almost floating, on an arc of black coated aluminum, connected to its base using the same material. The slightly flexible shell gives an appearance of lightness, but also offers the highest level of seating comfort.

Created by the Danish designer Mads Johnson, The Stockholm series has become one of his contemporary signature pieces.  When Mads was just a kid growing up in a small town in Denmark, he carved and created a myriad of items from wood.  This early exploration led to his passion to create new items from wood.  It is not tough to believe that his earliest jobs were as a cabinet maker and carpenter.  After studying in Helsinki, Dallas, Munich, and Oslo, Mads started in his creation of furniture.  He designed this stunning series in 2009.

The back and seat are curved to provide maximum comfort, similar to the Eames plywood chair of yesteryear.  The base, developed by Midj's in-house studio, uses a contemporary tubular steel style.  This combination works great together to produce an outstanding dining or visitor chair.
In this particular version, the Midj Nuvola SB M CU uses Italian hide leather for the seat and the back. The frame of the chair is steel that can be lacquered one of several different colors.

In this particular version, the Joe Chair (S L-CU) uses regenerated hide or hide leather for the upholstery on the seat and back of the chair.  The edge of the seat and the back are stitched with a special saddle stitch.
