FireBox is made of corten steel. The steel is of high quality and with exceptional weathering resistance. The steel has been treated in a way that initiates the natural process of surface corrosion. The garden wood burner naturally takes on a golden rusty color and will continue to patinate beautifully as it is exposed to the wind, weather and use. This also means that variations in color and surface patterns will occur and continually develop, especially due to the impact of high temperatures during use.
The outer rust layer is extremely stable and does not smear like other types of rust. However, minor stains or rust leaching will occur.

The ALU Affäire collection are designs from our Affäire collection, where the natural rattan frame has been changed to an aluminum frame. The aluminum frame is hand bent using similar methods as when rattan is bent, and then powder coated. The frame is then woven with our ArtFibre which is available in a selected variation of colors. ArtFibre is an artificial fiber made of dyed and hardwearing polyethylene. It can withstand the sun’s burning UV-rays, heavy rain and even frost. ArtFibre is the material we use for the bindings and weaving of the seat and back of our Affäire café furniture pieces. The combination of powder coated aluminum and ArtFibre provides our furniture with strength and comfort, and furniture that can be used outdoor all year.
The Monique chair reminds us of the classic dinning chair in the most classic sense, only with a twist; the chair has the most beautiful AluRattan™ frame with a similar backrest.
