STORY

In 2016, Studio Emma was created by Scottish artist Emma McDowall after she discovered her love of concrete. Emma McDowall creates a collection of contemporary concrete products in her studio in Edinburgh, Scotland. Each piece is carefully cast by hand and is completely unique in its color, texture and design, with many pieces still moulded using found or recycled materials. Emma focuses on the interplay between color and material, celebrating the naturally occurring surface pattern and textural imperfections.
