As part of the Double-A farm club for the New York Yankees, the ’61 Gold Sox featured future star Joe Pepitone as well as a young Jim Bouton, who became especially known for his book Ball Four, which recounted his career with the Yanks. Together they helped carry the team to a 90-50 season and bring home the Texas League pennant but lost to the Austin Senators in the first round of the playoffs that year. This authentic 1961 reproduction from Ebbets Field is hand-sewn in small batches from gold cotton twill and detailed with an unstructured crown and the original felt Amarillo Gold Sox logo. Secured with an adjustable genuine leather strap for a comfortable fit and built to last a lifetime.
