By turning the pages of PARIS, LA magazine into a unique bracelet, jewelry maker Ligia Dias confirms her interest in traditional and industrial materials, as well as her ability to combine luxury and natural attributes in one single object. Cut, gilded with 22-carat gold leaf, drilled, and held between two leather bands, Magazine becomes a transformed, illegible book that can either be worn on the wrist or placed on display.
Paris-based designer Ligia Dias was born in 1974 in Switzerland. She started her eponymous jewelry collection in 2006, after graduating from ECAL in Lausanne and Studio Berçot in Paris. Dias has regularly collaborated with designers and brands such as Comme des Garçons, Nicolas Ghesquière, Phillip Lim, Club Monaco, Repetto, Swarovski and, currently, Loewe, where she designs eyewear and jewelry collections.
