Life may be no cakewalk, but a slice of good cake can help. I find that the mirror finish of traditional cake servers makes conspicuous the s mear of icing and crumb . Narita-san's modern take on a cake server has a frosty finish and elegant shape that elevates even my humble homemade confections . Marks of grease are camouflaged against the matte, dappled surface, which reminds me of the soft texture of freshly spread buttercream.
