we started with a white denim with a classic faded red selvage ID from the legendary Nihon Menpu mill in Japan, then we gave it a light water rinse to soften the denim down just a touch.
the final result looks like a heavier weight denim but feels soft and comfortable.
THE FIT

harper has a high rise, relaxed hip, and a tapered leg with a beautiful "pitch": high in the front rise, yet even higher in the back rise.
note: it's a 100% cotton jean that will (and should) be snug to start. after a few days of wear, it will loosen up to fit you just right.

HOW WE MEASURE

every body is different. we know how hard it can be to find the right jean when shopping online, but rest assured—we’re here to help.
first thing's first, you’ll be measuring your body, not your other clothes. we’ve found it’s the easiest way to find what size is best for you. we recommend measuring in front of a mirror, directly against your skin, and keeping the measuring tape taut.
natural waist : the smallest part of your body’s waistline, not necessarily where your jeans will fall.
hip : the fullest part of your body below your waistband and above the knee.

each pair of jeans tells a story. as they wear in and fade, your jeans become a part of you. wear often, wash not so often.
when will it be time to wash your harper? only you will know, but we’re here to support you. call us or email us when you think it might be time for that first wash. we’ll walk you through it!
see a few notes below regarding our suggested ritual:
hang your jeans up at night on your denim hook. this method gives your jean breathing room, and holds the shape of your body. putting your jeans back on in the morning will become so easy.
hold out as long as you can to wash, but do not be afraid to wash. when you wash, turn your jean inside out. either soak your jean in the tub with a drop of mild detergent, or wash in the machine on cold. after, hang to dry. and don’t be afraid of a quick no- to low-heat tumble to soften her back up.
