Kosas Chemistry AHA Serum Deodorant is one of those delightful surprises we couldn’t possibly have predicted from one of our brands. Deodorant — from Kosas? And yet it is, by far, the current favorite among the Ayla team members who seek the strongest stuff for their underarms: as one of them mentioned, “Even at the end of my moving day yesterday in 106-degree heat, not a whiff of stink!”
The main secret to Kosas Chemistry’s success is its unique AHA blend — shikimic acid, mandelic acid, and lactic acid — which treats smell where it starts, creating a pH environment where odor-causing bacteria can’t survive. And as a side benefit, the blend also addresses underarm discoloration and helps prevent ingrown hairs.
Despite that strength, Kosas Chemistry is incredibly soothing to underarms, even after shaving. The lightweight, fast-drying, non-staining, rollerball-applied formula also includes soothing aloe vera juice, which feels lovely and cooling upon application. And unlike other deodorants, which use thickeners with few benefits to the skin, this one uses skincare-darling hyaluronic acid to soften skin. It even includes palmitoyl tripeptide-5 for its firming properties, which we’d never really thought of as a must-have for a deodorant — but now that it’s in this one, we’re wondering why no one else thought of that.
