HOW IT WORKS

What is carbon offsetting?
To carbon offset means to support an action or activity (reforestation, sequestration, renewable energy) that reduces human-caused carbon dioxide emissions released into the atmosphere‚ a primary cause for global warming.
Why should do I do it?
Buying carbon offsets allows you to be accountable for those carbon emissions you produce‚ an inevitability in our daily lives. We can't stop all carbon-emitting activities, so instead, we are looking for ways to create more balance and mindfulness around the impact we have on the world.

WHERE YOUR MONEY GOES

By offsetting your footprint above, you are giving us permission to invest in the Native Alaskans Saving Lands Project, which supports plants, wildlife, and a strong community by maintaining the fragile ecosystem where they live.

We‚ have partnered with the nonprofit Cool Effect to make sure this is all done legally and effectively. All projects are vetted to meet high industry standards and certifications. You'll even receive a fancy certificate. Major congrats.
You're probably wondering if we take a fee. Nope! CE receives 100% percent of the money for its projects, and they work to direct as much funding as possible to the projects they support. On average, 90% of funding is sent to the project while 10% goes to any applicable costs to the project including credit card charges, research, and any applicable registration fees.
