Since these are raw (porous) terracotta and they will patina over time, we recommend that you do not plant directly inside of them if you want the pots to stay the same forever. We love the patina but we understand that some may not. With that said, you may also seal the interior of the pot with a stone sealer found at your local hardware store. However, if you do seal them, the terracotta will lose its porous quality and that isn’t as good for your plant roots. They will work beautifully with a nursery pot placed directly inside of them and that’s the best way to slow any patina (watermarks & soil marks) while allowing the roots to breathe. No matter what you decide, you’re going to love these!

"The shapes may look simple," he notes, "but in actuality they are created with bends and angles that are complex formulas." We also think these trophy heads—including the Gazelle and Longhorn, also on our site—are a kick. Like all Bend furniture and pieces, these are sandblasted, then pre-treated with anti-rust zinc primer and powder coated for extended life right in Gaurav's L.A. studio. It all starts with a machine-molded frame that undergoes countless handmade spot-welds — a process Gaurav refers to as "bending."
